School Health Improvement Plans
At Healthier Texas, we aim to create a shared value around health and support school districts as they work to enact strategies focused on improving the health and wellness of their educators, staff, students, and families.
Our process for supporting our school partners uses a simplified CDC School Health Improvement Plan model through which Healthier Texas will provide capacity support, tools, and resources directly to the school district at no cost. In this process, we collaborate to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement using evidence-based methods. Once identified, we co-create strategies for free interventions that address the school district’s goals and opportunities.
Healthier Texas provides free, on-going support to implement and monitor progress to achieve a school district’s health and wellness goals.
