Keeping Up With Your Resolutions

Can you believe we are officially halfway through the year? It seems like yesterday we were setting our annual health goals and now, according to Make time in your calendar for your health.studies, most of us are asking ourselves – what goals?

We get it. For so many, the day-to-day summer schedule looks a bit different than the rest of the year. With the kids home from school, holidays that call for family barbecues and summer trips and activities around every corner, how can you keep up with those resolutions?

First, remind yourself that your health is a priority. Eating healthier and breaking a little sweat will give you the energy you need to keep up with your little ones at the community pool or to be more productive at work.

Second, it’s ok to pace yourself during the busier times of the year. Here are a few tips that may help:

Make small changes that add up.

Take the stairs instead of riding the elevator and walk short distances to and from places you need to be whenever you can throughout the day! A few extra steps here and there can really add up, and can fit into almost any busy schedule.

Meal prepping made easy!Meal prep to save time and make it easier to eat healthy.

Setting aside time each week for meal and food prepping can help prepare you for a healthy week of eating! On your most hectic days, you can reach in your fridge and grab a healthy meal to-go instead of going through a drive-thru or stopping to eat in a restaurant. Block out time in your calendar for your health.

By scheduling time for yourself, whether that’s a workout or going home for lunch, you are more likely to avoid conflicts that might tempt you to break your healthy habits.

Get an accountability partner.
